DESCRIPTION:Leadership Albany is a 9 month (1 full day a month) intensive program\, devoted to educating and strengthening community leaders - both emerging and experienced individuals. The program provides in depth insights into the major systems that can contribute to the patterns of life and a variety of issues impacting area residents.\n\n\n\nThis Cohort meets September 2026 through May 2027.  (September is third Thursday\, remaining dates are on the second Thursday of the month) General start time 7:45AM. \n\n\n\nSeptember 17 - Introduction & Team Building\n\n\n\nOctober 08 - Local History\n\n\n\nNovember 12 - Business & Industry\n\n\n\nDecember 10 - State Government (7:00 AM start time) \n\n\n\nJanuary 14 - Local Government\n\n\n\nFebruary 11 - Educating Our Future\n\n\n\nMarch 11 - Health Communities \n\n\n\nApril 08 - Forestry & Agriculture\n\n\n\nMay 13 - Leadership Skills (day) & Graduation (evening)\n\n\n\nParticipants commit to attending all sessions and must attend at least 7 of 9 in order to graduate. \n\n\n\nNote: Participants must also commit to help plan and lead one of the Leadership dates the following year\, putting their Leadership Skills into practice.
