DESCRIPTION:The Willamette Valley Broadband Event is back for a second time - join us as we work to establish strategic partnerships to close the digital divide within the Willamette Valley. Alyrica Networks is partnering with the Knife River Training Center to offer the second annual Willamette Valley Broadband Event. Hear from state and federal entities and join local internet service providers\, industry experts\, and consumers for an event focused on establishing effective broadband buildout solutions within the Willamette Valley. Attendees will have the opportunity to make connections and begin strategic partnership conversations with local internet service providers\, counties\, municipalities\, equipment and technology representatives\, consumers\, and more. Light breakfast\, equipment demonstrations\, and a facility tour of the recently opened Knife River Training Center included. T?his is a free event - advance registration required. The Oregon Broadband Office (OBO) is in the process of applying for federal funding to provide high-speed\, reliable internet access in areas that need it most. Help us ensure this initiative delivers reliable\, affordable\, high-speed internet\, and digital equity for all Oregonians. As part of this process\, the Broadband office is preparing an Initial Proposal and a Digital Equity Plan that will clearly outline how the OBO plans to administer the programs. You will have the opportunity to review and comment on these plans this coming November and December. After the public comment period\, the OBO will finalize the plans and submit them to the federal government by the end of December 2023. Funding is expected to be made available in 2025.
