Event Description:
"What Is the Mid-Valley Intermodal Hub?"
With Guest Speaker Greg Smith
Project Manager, Linn Economic Development Group

Greg Smith is a graduate of Eastern Oregon University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration.  He is married to Sherri Smith and has 5 children and 1 grandchild.

Prior to owning his own business, Gregory Smith & Company, LLC, Greg worked for the Port of Morrow as their Director of Finance.  In this capacity, he not only assisted many businesses, but served as the Project Manager for the development and construction of Morrow Cold Storage.

In addition, Greg and his team manage Morrow Development Corporation, a non-profit lending institution, which began as a community investment of $50,000 and has now grown to a re-lending program that revolves over $6 million dollars to businesses throughout the state.

Since 2001, Gregory Smith & Company, LLC has delivered economic and community development services to multiple counties throughout the State of Oregon. In recent years, Greg has served as an economic development specialist for Amber Energy’s Morrow Pacific Project, Tidewater Barge Lines, Inc. and Lamb Weston, Inc.

These experiences, along with the collective skills of his staff, most recently qualified Gregory Smith to be project manager of the proposed Mid-Valley Intermodal Center, as well as provide economic development specialties to the City of Millersburg.

Greg has the honor of representing over 64,000 citizens of District 57 in the Oregon House of Representatives.  He is a natural leader among his caucus and has served in multiple chairmanships.
