About our speaker:
Brian Graffenberger
My wife, Susie and I live and farm in the Dever-Conner community of Albany. We have two grown children that are back in the Albany area as well. Our son and daughter-in-law are our partners in E.A. Chambers Farms Inc. which was started back in 1907 by my great, great grandfather which makes our granddaughter the seventh generation. Our daughter is a dietician with Samaritan in Corvallis. We are blessed!
I met my wife while at Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas pursuing a degree in aviation. We moved to Oregon after Kansas to finish college and work on the family farm. I have a degree from OSU in Agriculture Economics. I became a partner on the farm with one of my uncles in 1999 and then Susie and I bought the farm in 2012. I am also a partner in Lakeside Ag-ventures, a specialty seed company that also provides Ag services, along with 5 other farmers in our community.
I grew up in Haiti as a missionary kid which is why I have a passion for the people there and a heart for helping to grow crops that can change lives in many ways … providing jobs as well as feeding families. My parents are in their 80’s and are back in Haiti as missionaries again.
