Prunk\nSpecial Assistant to the Director\, Air National Guard\n\nBrigadier General Bruce W. Prunk is Special Assistant to the Director\, Air National Guard. He is responsible for strategy development\, state and federal liaisons\, inter-agency coordination\, and special duties supporting the one hundred and five thousand Air National Guard members nationwide.\n\nGeneral Prunk was commissioned in 1983 through the Air National Guard's Academy of Military Science. Prior to receiving his commission\, General Prunk was an enlisted member of the 142nd Combat Support Squadron of the Oregon Air National Guard. He has served as a Social Actions Officer\, at both the wing and state levels\, and was the 142nd Fighter Wing's Inspector General. In 1996 he was selected as Commander\, 142nd Security Forces Squadron\; further proceeding as the 142nd Mission Support Group Commander and the Vice Commander\, 142nd Fighter Wing before accepting the position of Director of Staff\, Oregon Joint Force Headquarters Salem\, Oregon. In 2007 General Prunk deployed to Iraq as the Deputy Commander of the 732nd Air Expeditionary Group\, 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing. In 2008 he was assigned as Assistant Adjutant General-Air\, Oregon National Guard\; responsible for staff oversight within state joint force headquarters and support to the commander.
