The COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing have created a “new normal” for many of us whose work, school, and social lives have transitioned to being online. For parents and other adults, this can cause concern for the digital safety of our children. This training educates and empowers adults to keep children safe in the digital age. It highlights digital trends and teaches adults and parents how to: proactively participate in children’s internet experience, how to communicate effectively with children of all ages regarding online safety, and how to utilize parental controls and additional protection measures to keep kids safe online. Additional topics include screen time, appropriate ages for social media/video games, internet addiction, cyberbullying, online predators, and adult content.
