The Willamette Master Chorus opens its 36th concert season on Saturday, Nov. 14th, and Sunday, Nov. 15th, with their sixteenth Annual Veterans concert. The Chorus offers this concert virtually and complimentary for all to enjoy. Traditional patriotic songs such as the Star-Spangled Banner and the Veterans Medley will be sung. Newer compositions include Gene Scheer's "American Anthem" and David Schmidt's arrangement of John Wilson's "Heart of Freedom." During this difficult time, the chorus wishes to bring a message of peace and harmony by performing "I Dreamed of Rain" by Jan Garrett and "We Walk in Love" by Deanna Witkowski. Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs Director Kelly Fitzpatrick will be a featured speaker. The Willamette Master Chorus thanks the many sponsors involved in making this year's Veterans Concert possible. Sponsors include The Compton Family Foundation, Hazel Patton, David Schmidt, Pamela Martocci, Roger & Jodee Midura, Cynthia McGladrey, Pat Love, Walt Farrier, Dr. Sean Shim, and Bob & Elaine McNitt. Concert times are 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14th, and Sunday, Nov. 15th, and will be available to watch on Willamette Master Chorus's YouTube page.
