Position Summary:
We are seeking a professional, personable, and knowledgeable In-Home HVAC Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for providing residential customers with accurate and timely estimates for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system installations and replacements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a genuine desire to help homeowners make informed comfort and efficiency decisions for their homes. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess HVAC needs based on customer input, existing equipment, home structure, and comfort goals.
- Educate homeowners on available system options, efficiency benefits, financing programs, rebates, and warranties.
- Build estimates using pricing software and company-provided tools to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
- Present proposals in a clear, professional, and solutions-oriented manner; answer customer questions and help guide them through any concerns or hesitations.
- Maintain thorough records of customer interactions, job notes, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with installation and operations teams to ensure job scope is accurately communicated and executed.
- Keep up-to-date with local codes, utility incentives, and new technologies in HVAC systems and accessories.
- Attend training, ride-alongs, and company meetings as required to maintain knowledge and alignment with company standards.
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry—field experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional presence.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with mobile devices, tablets, and industry software.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends to meet customer needs when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 100% Drug-Free including marijuana. Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system installation practices, and residential comfort solutions.
- Familiarity with HVAC industry software.
