The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an energetic, well-organized, professional and responsible individual for full-time Membership Development Manager. Individual must be self-motivated, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality customer support; possess excellent time management skills; credible, and comfortable dealing with a broad spectrum of business industries and people.
The purpose of this position is to expand the membership base of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce by attracting new members to the organization and increasing member retention. The Membership Development Manager will actively promote the Chamber and support its mission.
Position: Membership Development Manager
Reports to: President
Location: AACC office environment, business locations, program and event venues

Schedule: Fulltime – Exempt
Compensation: 40,000 DOE, plus commission

Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous 3 years outside sales experience preferred
- Demonstrated success identifying and closing new customer accounts
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent face-to-face, phone, and written communication skills
- Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions necessary to achieve success in assigned areas
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to complete projects with limited supervision and direction
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, members, and the general public
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, financial reporting tools, and sales management database systems
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, must have/maintain a dependable vehicle
