Role Overview

The Procurement Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the procurement and construction management team. This role is vital for maintaining organized project records and ensuring the smooth flow of documentation between the office and active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Filing: Organize and file project documents into "Project Binders" and digitize existing plans, contracts, permits, and other essential project paperwork.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Construction Purchasing Manager with invoice processing and perform "Mission Critical" tasks as delegated by company leadership.
  • Digital Management: Scan physical documents and maintain the electronic procurement filing system.
  • Project Tracking: Utilize the "Job Board" to help track the progress of various tasks and ongoing projects.
  • On-site Presence: Attend off-site planning or construction meetings and walkthroughs as required.
  • Office Standards: Maintain a clean, professional, and organized office environment and ensure predictable work attendance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to Expert proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organizational Mastery: Outstanding organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal "soft skills" to facilitate communication within the team.
  • Mobility: A valid Driver’s License is required for travel to off-site meetings and project locations.
  • Experience: Previous experience in Construction, Development, or Property Management is preferred; however, the company is willing to train the right candidate.
